So, progress on the treehouse is finally underway. The first weekend, 2 of my nephews and a buddy of theirs helped me do parts that I couldn't do by myself, namely the floor joists. It was a bit slow moving as I didn't have all the tools required. But, thankfully, the nephew buddy had access to virtually any tool. He proved quite helpful! We got the perimeter up as well as MOST of the floor joists. Sadly, I had to go BACK to the store to get a couple more 16 ft joists... Luckily, on this trip I was able to combine these with many SHORTER pieces that held the longer ones in place. I wasn't making that mistake again. 2nd Weekend, I got all the deck boards and railings in place, and I have to admit, it's shaping up nicely...so far. I still have to build the actual house and add the treehouse accessories!
