Lullabies

Instrumental lullabies are so peaceful to listen to that you may take the cd away from your kids to use yourself, especially if you are aware that they make lullaby renditions of many of your favorite bands' music. Baby Einstein covers the classical side of things, while Rockabye Baby does everyone from the Beatles to Led Zeppelin, to Nirvana, Michael Jackson, U2, Bob Marley and Nine Inch Nails. Didn't think Nine Inch Nails could be peaceful and sleep inducing? You'd be surprised! Hushabye Baby takes care of the country side of music like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton up to George Strait, Garth Brooks, and Taylor Swift.

Children Singers

Many of these are the same singers I feature on the Concerts page under things to do out n about.

Barenaked Ladies

The band known for its fun upbeat and often funny songs brings their same style to kids music for this album:

Justin Roberts

This guy has so many songs, we need a greatest hits. "My Brother Did it," "Pop Fly," "Meltdown," "Koala Bear's Diner," "Willy Was a Whale," and the one that will almost make any dad cry, "Sandcastles." Grammy award winning children's singer...at first I had to look him up to make sure it wasn't Zach Braff from "Scrubs" because that's who his voice reminds me of. We've seen him in concert, and he's great. Very interactive with the kids, funny, everyone had a blast!

Jewel

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jewel created an album on peaceful "lullaby" songs for kids. The album, "Lullaby" has 15 tracks, 10 of which Jewel wrote whereas others are standards, including Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Laurie Berkner

Laurie Berkner is featured prominently on Nickelodeon, so naturally kids learn her songs by heart, songs like "I'm Gonna Catch You," "Five Days Old," and "Family". Her songs are sweet and fun! Her website has a place to request her tour to come to your area...which I've sent begging messages, so we'll see how that goes.

Roger Day

Aside from getting to see him for free at our local library and being majorly impressed, he sang songs that are hilarious and WILL NOT leave your brain, like "Mosquito Burrito" and "It's a No-No to Kiss a Rhino". A two-time winning Parent's Choice award winner, he's very eco conscious and educates kids on ecosystems during his concerts.
