How about programs that are fun for kids AND their parents?
One great program that fits the bill is AWANA -
"Awana impacts and shapes the lives of millions of kids and adults worldwide through proven resources and expertise that help churches and families develop lifelong disciples of Christ."
And of course, there is Scouting! Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of America are tons of fun for any kid. They get to fulfill their sense of adventure, accomplishment (with badges, etc), and ... SALESMANSHIP! Although, the boys have gotten the raw deal on that last one...popcorn vs cookies? No contest.
Boy Scouts go from "Cub" scouts in first grade (or 7 years old) up to Boy Scouts all the way until 18 years old.
