For Friday night dinner, we decided to make spatzle and schnitzel which I'm separating into 2 post for the 2 different recipes.
Spatzle Recipe
Ingredients
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup milk
8 eggs
1 Tbsp salt
Directions
1. Mix all the ingredients, whisking the eggs, until the mixture thickens enough to bubble. Essentially, you want to be able to push the mix through the holes of a colander, come out the other side, and not reform immediately together.
2. Time to push the mix through a colander (unless you have a spatzle maker, which is apparently a thing).
3. Hold the colander over a boiling pot of water, letting the noodles fall into the water and cook them for 15 minutes.
4. Drain the noodles, then add butter.
