7-Layer Cookies

Want a Christmas dessert recipe sure to please everyone? Try 7-Layer cookies! They’re easy to make and very tasty. Actually, they’re so easy to make that even kids at almost any age can help make them.

Regardless how easy they are to make, though, they are sure to be crowd pleasers. Guys I work with were convinced that they were store-bought!

Ingredients

· 1 stick butter

· 1 12 OZ bag chocolate chips

· 1 12 OZ bag butterscotch chips

· 1 12 OZ bag peanut butter chips (or substitute chopped pecans if you prefer)

· 1 can sweetened condensed milk

· 2 cups graham cracker crumbs

· 14 OZ sweetened coconut flakes

Directions

1. Heat your oven to 350 degrees.

2. In a 9x13 pan, put the butter into the bottom of the pan and melt it in the microwave.

3. Crush the graham crackers, and spread them across the bottom of the pan, mixing them with the butter.

4. Spread the chocolate chips over the cracker layer.

5. Next, add the butterscotch chips.

6. Next, layer the peanut butter chips (or crushed nuts) over the butterscotch.

7. Then, spread the coconut layer across the top of the other layers.

8. Finally, slowly pour the sweetened condensed milk over top the rest of the ingredients being sure to get good, solid coverage as the condensed milk keeps the cookie together once cooked.

9. Then, bake in the over for 45 minutes. Take it out after 35 minutes if you want it to be extra gooey!

These make great tasting cookies for friends and family, but they also look quite impressive. Even better, since nearly any age kid can help you make them, these cookies also make great holiday memories!
