Who doesn’t like bowling?

Going to knock down a few pins is a fun, traditional family activity that people have enjoyed for years.

Well, how would you like to get your little guys and gals in for some free bowling? Every summer, participating bowling alleys sign-on with the National Kids Bowl Free Program. This program lets your kids, once registered, receive 2 free games every day for the whole summer!

As the site points out, that equals a value of over $500 per child. Alleys across the country support this program to provide a safe, secure, and fun activity for kids to do while out of school over the Summer months. It's a great way for them to "give back to the community"and maybe cultivate their future customers as well. Kids need to realize there's more to do in life than sit in front of a video console, or glued to a smartphone.

Knocking down pins is just plain fun. A place to socialize with friends over some chili cheese fries. Ramp up the action by throwing in good music

and, when needed, glow-in-the-dark fun with "cosmic bowling".

So, it isn’t just bowling, it’s an experience!

There's even help for the smaller tykes in the group. Most bowling alleys have rails or "bumpers" available to block the gutters, and ramps to help those heavy balls get the momentum to reach their targets. This is perfect for when the little ones don’t quite have enough strength to get it there themselves. They'll be shooting non-stop strikes before they know it! My sons have taken advantage of the program the last couple of Summers and they’ve enjoyed it every time. We're past the ramp stage, but still using the bumpers. Bowling “on their own” has really made them feel grown-up, and raised their confidence level besides. It’s been hilarious watching them try to develop their own bowling styles. We’re having fun and creating family memories along the way! Plus, we’ve saved money while doing so.

So, if you want to give your kids something to do this summer, take them bowling. It’s a fun activity that you can join in on too, and a lot easier for you to learn than Minecraft. Go to the Kids Bowl Free site and check it out to see if there’s a participating location near you.

Bowling could be right up their alley, if you have the time to spare!
