If you're ready for a backpacking adventure, this is a good spot for you.
You begin the adventure with a 5 mile hike to get to the Len Foote Hike Inn, which is a "back country" inn accessible only by, you guessed it, hiking in! The hike would be considered a moderate hike. It isn't too hard, but it isn't necessarily easy either. The Inn is nestled near the peak of a mountain, so the trail does encounter some inclines. Be sure to pack lite.
The area is beautiful, and there's plenty to do around the Inn. So, rest up from your hike in, then get out and explore the Inn itself. Each day starts with gentle drum beats to wake you up for coffee. Then, throughout the day, the meals fill you up and keep you energized to get out and see more.
The inn has the unique location of being near the Georgia end of the Appalachian Trail, in Amicalola Falls State Park, and near the peak of Frosty Mountain in the Chattahoochee National Forest.
The Inn is open year-round, so you only need to decide what weather you want during your adventure.
