St. Patrick's Day Movies for the Whole Family
Darby O'Gill and the Little People
Disney's movie about Leprechauns and the luck of the Irish still holds up today and is really funny. Plus, the star of the pic is a pre-James Bond Sean Connery!
Secret of the Kells
The only animated movie on this list...because Brave is Scottish, not Irish, the animation on this movie is very different and cool. The story follows a young monk at an Abbey as they deal with magic, spells, and Viking attacks.
War of the Buttons
This is a really fun movie. As the kids of two neighboring Irish towns go to war with each other in some fun and hilarious ways, they slowly learn that not everyone is as bad as they first thought.
Leap Year
This is a fairly typical rom-com... meaning it's funny, good, and ... mushy. Based on that mushy factor, you probably want to save this one for kids old enough not to believe in cooties. But, for those ready for a good love story with a lot of humor, this one's perfect. It also does a great job showcasing the Irish countryside.
Leprechaun
This is technically a horror movie, so it's for the older kids. Re - Teenagers.
But, this is one of the goofiest, campiest scary movies of all time.
