Honolulu, OAHU
Waikiki Beach is in Honolulu on the island Oahu. Besides being one of the most amazing beaches in the world, Waikiki is also known for its shopping and restaurants including the Royal Hawaiian Luau. This luau tells the surprising story of Oahu's wondrous culture at the Royal Hawaiian Luau, told through music, traditions, and cuisine. A luau while visiting Hawaii is a must, and this is one of the most well known luaus.
The WWII Pearl Harbor memorial/museum is here as well, The USS Arizona Memorial. Built over the sunken wreckage of the USS Arizona, the memorial is the number one visitor destination in Hawaii.
Also, don't forget dolphin encounters! You can swim with dolphins while in Honolulu with companies like Dolphins and You, Dolphin Quest, or HonuHawaii Activities.
Kahului, Maui
Surfing for beginners is offered in Maui. Of course there's still more beaches, Ho’okipa, Wailea, or Kaanapali Beach. Kaanapali has some of the famous luaus, the Kaanapali Sunset Luau and the Old Lahaina Luau. Luaus are a Hawaiian tradition, and each are filled with traditional Hawaiian cuisine and the fun filled evenings will also include Hawaiian Hula Dancers, music, songs and captivating fire-knife dances to finish off any of the Maui Luaus. Old Lahaina celebrates the history of Hawaii while Kaanapali is towards families and kids. http://mauihawaiiluau.com/
Maui is also one of the best places in the world for whale-watching. There are even excursions you can do that include whale-watching, snorkeling, and kayaking. You can take the famous Hana Highway to Iao Valley State Park. The Hana Highway itself is a popular tourist attraction because of its beautiful scenery, and Iao Valley State Park is also famously known for its lush, beautiful scenery and its famous landmark, the Iao Valley Needle.
